Terms of Service
Last updated 18 June 2026. These terms apply when you use this website or engage Code In WordPress for any service. Your written project scope, where you have one, sits alongside these terms.
1. Introduction and acceptance
By using this website or engaging us for work, you agree to these terms. Code In WordPress provides remote WordPress services to businesses across Australia. The content on this site is general information about those services, and it isn't a binding quote on its own. A binding agreement forms once we send you a written scope and price and you accept it.
2. Services we provide
We deliver WordPress speed optimisation, Core Web Vitals work, WooCommerce performance, custom WordPress and Elementor builds, maintenance and care plans, malware removal and hardening, migration, and technical SEO, all remotely. Each engagement is scoped in writing before work begins. We describe outcomes and deliverables in plain terms in your scope so you know what's included and what isn't.
3. Quotes, fees and payment
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD). One-time services, such as a speed optimisation pass, are quoted as a fixed price agreed before work starts. Care plans are billed monthly. REQUIRED INPUT: confirm GST treatment, for example "care-plan prices include GST; one-time prices are shown as 'from' figures and confirmed in your scope". We invoice as set out in your scope, and payment is due by the date shown on the invoice. We may pause work on overdue accounts after reasonable notice.
4. The 90+ PageSpeed guarantee
On speed optimisation plans and new builds, we guarantee a Google PageSpeed Insights score of 90 or above on both mobile and desktop, or your money back for that service. These are the terms, not a sales claim:
- What's covered. A 90+ PageSpeed score on mobile and desktop for the agreed page or page set, verified with before-and-after screenshots.
- Conditions. You give us the access we need (hosting, WordPress admin, relevant accounts) to complete the work, and you don't make conflicting changes to the site during the engagement.
- Exclusions. The guarantee doesn't cover score drops caused after delivery by third-party changes, such as new plugins, themes, page-builder edits, heavy third-party scripts, hosting downgrades, or content added by you or others. It also doesn't cover scores affected by factors outside the site itself.
- Refund claim. If we don't reach 90+ under these conditions, contact us within the window stated in your scope, and we'll either complete the work or refund the fee for that service. REQUIRED INPUT: confirm the exact refund-claim window and any further conditions.
5. The 6-month support guarantee
We stand behind our work for six months from delivery. If something we did stops working as agreed within that period, and it isn't caused by a change outside our control, we'll fix it at no extra charge. This support guarantee covers the specific work we delivered. It doesn't cover new features, unrelated issues, or problems introduced by third-party plugins, themes, hosting changes or edits made by others. REQUIRED INPUT: confirm the exact scope and any exclusions for the support guarantee.
6. Client responsibilities
To let us do the work and honour the guarantees, you agree to: provide timely access to your hosting, WordPress admin and any accounts we need; keep your own backups, since we work on copies where practical but final responsibility for your data rests with you; supply content and approvals when we ask; and hold valid licences for any premium plugins, themes or third-party tools used on your site. Delays in access or approvals may affect timeframes.
7. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Beyond the express guarantees in these terms and any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, our services are provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the service that gave rise to the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for issues outside our control, such as third-party hosting outages, plugin or theme conflicts introduced by others, or changes made to the site after we hand it back. Nothing in these terms limits rights that can't be excluded under Australian law.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Care plans run month to month with no lock-in. You can cancel a care plan at any time by giving us notice, and your plan runs until the end of the current billing period; we don't charge a cancellation fee. REQUIRED INPUT: confirm the care-plan cancellation notice period, for example "7 days' notice before your next billing date". One-time services are governed by the 90+ guarantee terms above and by any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Intellectual property
Once you've paid in full for a piece of work, the deliverables we created specifically for you are yours to use. We keep ownership of our own underlying tools, methods and reusable code, and we may keep a copy of the work for our records and portfolio unless you ask us not to. You keep ownership of the content, branding and materials you supply. Third-party plugins, themes and fonts remain subject to their own licences.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of its courts. We operate remotely from Pakistan while serving Australian clients, and we apply Australian consumer law to our dealings with you. REQUIRED INPUT: confirm the governing-law state or territory with the owner.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as our services or the law change. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. The terms in force when you engaged us, plus your written scope, govern that engagement.
12. Contact
